The Taste of Rain
05 June 2025
Joseph A Farina
the taste of the rain
aroma of leaves
returning to earth
water and sunlight
to windswept rebirth
dreams of walking
through paths of september
shareing our secrets out loud
under fine rain
that drove us to shelter
and showed us the way
when the last leaf of autumn
falls to november
then colours
though faded
shall always remain
in senses
that press
precious pieces of living
to memory
to passion until all that remains
are the souvenir ruins
and the taste of the rain.....
