Freedom

18 June 2025

Bev Clark

Sisters, do not fear stepping over the threshold.

There is no shame.

Those shackles you have claimed – you may be released from.

Let your voices scream to the moon

leave your raging floating in the river.

Your nakedness is glorious.

Yes, you’ve changed.  Your youth

metamorphosized into knowledge.

Listen to your heart – it sings.

Take the step into this waiting moment.

This new life will not engulf you – but caress you.

Let your future be all it can be.

Stake your claim to it.

And when they look at you, let them see

the wonder of you.

Make each new day your own

not for Him, Them or convention  - but for you!

You hold the magic – release it.

The other side of the hill is greener than you think

and roses grow here too.

Step in - and let the sun

shine upon your face.
